Biograd
The town was most important as a capital of croatian medieval kings, and in 1102 aD a coronation of Croatian-Hungarian king Koloman took place in Biograd. Many material evidences of the rich and interesting history of this area are deposed in the very interesting local museum.

The only ancient building that survived venetian destruction of Biograd in 1125 is the Basilic of St. John (11 century).

Situated near airports in Zadar and Split, on a mayor tourist road, todays Biograd takes its strenght from the beauty of the city and the attractions of the area that makes it a desirable destination for a pleasant vacation in a marvelous nature.
